Miniature Ritz Crackers

Presenting Ritz crackers with a very real Ritz box! It took quite a bit of work to ensure that there are 7 holes on both sides of the cracker but it was really fun working on them. There is also a cup of hot chocolate in a cute piggy mug. Available for sale at my Etsy store.

Recently I've been invited to join The Mini Food Blog as an author. I feel very honoured! There are so many things to learn from other miniature artisans. Just check out the website http://theminifoodblog.blogspot.com and you will find all sorts of miniature food.

Chinese New Year is 2 days away. Here's wishing everyone Gong Xi Fa Cai! My top three wishes:
1. Good health to myself and my family
2. Pass at least 1 actuarial exam (which leaves me with just 1 paper!)
3. Get more inspiration for my miniature food!

MIniature Burger Preparation

I just purchased a Puki Pong Pong (see previous post) and can't wait for it to come! My house is in a total mess... many miniature projects waiting to start, miniature collections all over the place, study notes lying on the sofa... really hope to clear up the stuff before Pong Pong arrives. Hmmm, I should think of a proper name for Pong Pong.

January will be a busy month, especially with Chinese New Year just round the corner. Nevertheless, we still need to eat. So do our dolls! Ok.. for those who don't collect dolls, I'm sure you would want some miniature food! ^_^

I created this burger preparatory scene. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber slices and cheese served on delicious soft buns. I love the meat platter - I developed a new technique to get this texture but it is taking a longer time to dry. When it is done, it will be available at www.ilovelittlethings.etsy.com, selling for US$25 including shipping. Very reasonable if you check out other prep boards on Etsy/Ebay!

Puki Puki

Recently I found some very cute photos on flickr.

I like this one where the girl on the right seems lost in the conversation.

Awwww... doesn't she look soooooo adorable in the shades??

These photos were uploaded by Linda Gavin

This was taken by another miniature artisan Stephanie from France. I'm in love with the one behind (in the white square). I think I'm going to get one for myself.

If you like them (these are puki puki) too, you can find them at dollfairyland.com/
Cheers!

MIniature Waffles & Gummy Bear Sweets

Happy New Year everyone!

The first 4 months of 2009 is going to be very busy for me and I may have less time to make miniatures since I want to qualify in 2009! Well... I know this is mission impossible (a more realistic aim would be 2010) but I can always give it a shot! Nevertheless I promise to keep my Etsy shop going. ^_^

I made this dollhouse miniature waffles preparation board with banana and fresh cream. I love the idea of preparation board although it takes more effort since you have to "design" the entire concept. You also need tools such as miniature rolling pins, bowls & plates, cutlery etc and it is hard to find these miniatures in Singapore!

I would also like to feature a canister of miniature gummy bear sweets cos they just look soooo adorable. For other miniatures, please visit www.ilovelittlethings.etsy.com. Other enquiries, please send an email to ilovelittlethings@gmail.com
