Neapolitan Cakes

Sorry for the rather blur photos. These are some miniature neapolitan cakes that I made a couple of weeks ago. Yes, neapolitan cakes are usually made in 3 layers (pink brown white) but I saw quite a number of photos of 5-layer neapolitan cakes from Google and decided to give it a try. Hope you like it!

I made a ring too, although I suppose neapolitan cakes aren't as popular as chocolate or red velvet or cheese cakes. One good example is I don't think anyone sells neapolitan cakes here in Singapore! Neapolitan ice cream yes, but cakes no...

I'm pretty sad cos Sunday is coming to an end here, which means work starts again tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'll look forward to next weekend... and hopefully get to visit The Titanic Artifact Exhibition in Singapore. For those interested to know more, here is the website - http://titanic.sg .

Quarter Scale Berry Cake

Quarter scale! 1:48 scale. This scale drives me crazy as it makes things so tiny. For those not familiar with scale, 1:48 shrinks the real-life object by 48 times. The more common scale for dollhouse is 1:12 (or one inch scale). Correct me if I made a mistake!

When I posted this photo on deviantart (click on link on the right - somehow my link function isn't working properly), someone commented that I have really skinny fingers. Yes... on hindsight, the finger does look really long here.. LOL. But this isn't my finger. It's my husband's. He calls himself the finger model and he charges me $0.50 per photo.

You can probably tell that I enjoy making quarter scale cakes very much. See my older post:

Are there any of you who are quarter scale collectors?

Happy Easter everyone!
