Merry Christmas month!

Hi all! Are you in the Christmas mood yet? Obviously I am! So here is a mini plate of gingerbread man cookies, each face delicately painted.

We had a long weekend in Singapore (though I went back to work on Saturday) :( Nevertheless I rested well, cleared out some clutter at home, sorted out my miniature and supplies, and prepared some new mini food. I felt very productive! I'm also trying to find time to photograph my collection of food miniatures from other artists. Yes, I'm a collector too! So watch out for this space... but seriously, I think The Mini Food Blog is a damn good idea ^_^ http://theminifoodblog.blogspot.com

Hotdogs Bun Prep Board

It's been two weeks and I didn't update my blog cos I couldn't bear to part with my duck cookies. *sob* They attracted many new followers and I would like to say thank you for being with me!

I don't want to go on and on about having too little time for miniatures.. I'm sure many of you can identify with them. Family, work... it's hard to strike a balance. I've been working late EVERY day... I'm going crazy... I just hope it doesn't eat into my favourite Christmas season!

This week, I'd like to present a Hotdog Bun Preparation Board. Everything handmade by me except ketchup and mustard bottles.

I visited Shanghai over the weekend. It was cold and rainy. This was the ONLY photo I took from my hotel. ;)

Duck Cookies

I bought a ducky paper puncher many many months ago but have not got the chance to use it. Since I have a little more time now, I managed to make some duck cookies!

Problem with paper punchers is that unless you can dismantle the cutter, you need to use air dry clay and wait for it to dry before you can punch. The layer of clay has to be quite thin. You also need to find a puncher that has a cute shape (hearts and stars are too common) that is small enough for 1:12 scale.

My husband does not appreciate miniatures. Neither can he appreciate why I spend so much time on miniatures. However, he had lots of fun punching out the yellow pieces! I hope you have fun looking at these photos too. Have a good weekend ahead everyone.
